Wave Goodbye to Litter Run & Walk

    The first Saturday in February, Keep Georgetown Beautiful holds our two-mile run, walkers are welcomed as well, to raise awareness about the concerns of residents to the problem of litter in our neighborhoods. The run starts and ends at the Georgetown County Library on Cleland Street.  Runners assemble at 8:30am for a 9:00am start.  Runners will go off first followed by walkers.  There are seven age categories for both male and female runners.   The entry fee is $15 per person or $12 during early registration.  Registration can be made in advance at City Hall, Global Health or Wayne's Sporting Goods and the day of the race up to 45 minutes before the race begins.

    The Wave Goodbye to Litter Run is sponsored by Time Warner Cable, enabling Keep Georgetown Beautiful to dedicate all registration receipts to the purchase of litter containers.
